Tamahine "Tammy" Rivera joins the Hudson County Latino Foundation’s Board of Directors in 2020 and currently is a Chair of the Program Selection and Evaluation Committee.
Ms. Rivera is a Bilingual Sr. Parole Officer for the New Jersey State Parole Board. Rivera has 15 years of law enforcement experience including 2 years prior experience as a Probation Officer with the Superior Court of New Jersey, Hudson Vicinage. Ms. Rivera currently supervises criminal and registered sex offenders. Ms. Rivera is a Field Training Officer and serves as a College/University Representative for New Jersey State Parole, North Team. Ms. Rivera earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at The College of New Jersey and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Justice Administration and Public Service at The College of Saint Elizabeth.
Ms. Rivera is a dedicated community public servant who serves as 2nd Vice President, Hispanic American Law Enforcement Association. Ms. Rivera continuously works towards the improvement of community policing and supports the increase of Latino representation in law enforcement.
Born in Hoboken and raised in Jersey City, Ms. Rivera remains in Hudson County as a proactive resident and role model. Ms. Rivera strives to give back to her community through various outreach program involvement and community service.
